Lithuanian Firefighters Team Came Back With Silver Medals From the USA
Lithuanian Firefighters team took part in the Firefighter Challenge at Worlds XXXI, which took place on 10–15 October 2022 in the United States of America (Utah, Sandy). Team relay race for Lithuanian participants Mr Andrius Ašmontas, Mr Karolis Gražinis, Mr Rokas Lindenis, Mr Gintautas Samauskis and Mr Romualdas Vilimas resulted in taking the 2nd place. While summing up three best results of individual starts, Lithuanians took the 2nd place in the category of “Departmens team” as well.
Ms Regina Bartkutė, who represented women category over 40 in the World Championship for the first time, won the 2nd place. Chief Officer category brought 3rd place to Mr Andrius Ašmontas.
Tandem COED category over 40 resulted in another 2nd place for Ms Regina Bartkutė and Mr Martin Erbe, while Female Tandem over 40 together with Ms Hilde Skreting from Norway resulted in 3rd place for Ms Regina Bartkutė.
Moreover, this Championship was significant for three Lithuanian participants as well since Mr Rokas Lindenis, Mr Romualdas Vilimas and Ms Regina Bartkutė became members of prestige Lion’s Den club.
This is the fourth time when the Lithuanian Firefighters Team participate in the yearly organized Firefighter Challenge in the USA.
