Firefighter Combat Challenge Berlin Brought Victory to Lithuanian Firefighters

Lithuanian firefighters came back with impressive results after competing in the event which took place on in Berlin on 9–10 September 2022. Participants from Lithuania, namely, Mr Andrius Ašmontas, Mr Karolis Gražinis, Mr Rokas Lindenis, Mr Romualdas Vilimas and Mr Marius Gasparėnas won the 1st place in team relay, as well as 8 prizewinning places in different age categories and tandem races.

The Challenge in Berlin was attended by 140 participants from various countries: Germany, Lithuania, Slovenia, Ukraine, Austria, Hungary, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Firefighter Combat Challenge Berlin for Lithuanian firefighters resulted in the following achievements: the 1st place was taken by Ms Regina Bartkutė in the category woman over 40, another 1st place was taken by Mr Romualdas Kazlauskas in the category over 60. The 1st place was also taken in MIX tandem race by Ms Regina Bartkutė and Mr Marius Gasparėnas in the category over 40.  Mr Rokas Lindenis won 2nd place in the category men over 30, while Ms Regina Bartkutė won 2nd place in the final women category. Mr Romualdas Vilimas took the 3rd place in the final men category and another 3rd place in the men over 30 category.  Men tandem race also resulted in winning the 3rd place by Mr Karolis Gražinis and Mr Romualdas Vilimas.

Successful performance and good outcome during this Challenge inspire Lithuanian firefighters to be better prepared before the World Championship in the U.S., where 6 strongest firefighters of the State Fire and Rescue Service are going to participate this autumn.
