Delegation from the State Fire and Rescue Service of Poland Visits the Fire and Rescue Department
On 20–22 October 2025 the delegation led by Brigadier General Wojciech Kruczek, Commander-in-Chief of the State Fire Service of Poland, is visiting Vilnius. The Polish delegation includes Tomasz Czyż, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Service, and Monika Wachnik, Specialist of the International Cooperation Department of the Service. The guests from Poland arrived upon the invitation by the Director of the Fire and Rescue Department.
Director of the Fire and Rescue Department, General Renatas Požėla, introduced the Polish delegation to the mission, structure, and functions of the Fire and Rescue Department, as well as statistics on firefighting and rescue operations. He also reviewed current issues in the state fire supervision and civil protection. Guests also got acquainted with information about the Lithuanian Emergency Response Team, international cooperation, assistance to Ukraine, and forthcoming Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2027.
The Polish delegation will also visit the Firefighters Training School and the Emergency Response Centre.
