“BaltFloodCombat“ Team Take Part In The Exercise in Austria
On 11–18 September 2023 BaltFloodCombat High-Capacity Pumping Module consisting of participants from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania take part in the European Union Civil Protection Exercise “Formatex 2023” in Linz, Austria. The team from Lithuania includes seven officers from the Fire and Rescue Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, State Fire and Rescue Boards of Vilnius, Kaunas and Panevėžys.
The exercise aims to improve the ability to work in an environment contaminated with chemical, nuclear, radiological and biological (CBRN) materials.
The Formatex project focuses on organising international table-top, field exercises and conferences involving international teams and organisations to improve and strengthen cooperation in industrial emergencies.
